Bangor bargain could fetch just £1 at auction
A house in Bangor is being offered at auction without a reserve price at the first All Wales Auction.
It means that the property (pictured) could be sold for just £1 if it is the highest bid in the room.
Melfyn Williams, auctioneer and managing director of Williams & Goodwin, one of the two estate agencies behind the new auction house, says: "Naturally we are expecting it to sell for a higher price - the property has a guide price of £30,000 to £40,000 which, given the condition of the property, still provides a great chance to buy at an affordable price."
The auction, which will be held over two days in North and South Wales on February 26 and March 3 respectively, will feature a total of 23 lots and the catalogues are now available online.
A range of lots is being offered at the auction, including land in Merthyr Tydfil with a guide price of £7,000 and a period home in the historic castle town of Beaumaris, with a guide price of £250,000.
