Female agents' hotel storm

Surrey-based female property professionals gathered recently to network with peers and brainstorm industry issues at a local hotel.

Hosted by the National Association of Estate Agents’ Surrey branch, the women enjoyed lunch followed by an exclusive workshop with a life coach to learn how to optimize their networking skills and maximize connections at Pennyhill Park Golf Club & Spa in Bagshot.

Attendees came from a wide variety of disciplines in the property industry, including sales, lettings, land and new homes, relocation, administration and mortgage broking.

Host Wendy Evans-Scott, chair of the NAEA Surrey branch and vice president of the trade body, says: “There are a huge number of ladies working in property, whether running their own successful agencies, holding senior positions within a company or providing invaluable administration support.

“Often we are too busy to nurture contacts, so I thought I would invite ladies working in property in the Surrey area to get together, swap ideas and business cards, maybe make some new, like-minded friends and take some time to think about our roles with a thought-provoking, interactive workshop afterwards.”

The event closed with a raffle, which raised £80 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
