Globrix claims record visitor numbers
Globrix claims its unique visitor numbers hit 990,000 in June, the highest level the portal has ever reported.
The news comes as Zoopla remains locked in talks about the acquisition of Propertyfinder.
Daniel Lee, chief executive of Globrix, which remains a free-to-list portal, says: "As the recent Propertyfinder case has shown, you can have impressive levels of traffic but it’s not a sustainable business if you have to pay to get your users."
Separately, a Globrix survey has revealed that 21% of agent respondents don’t track the source of their website.
Lee adds: “No matter what industry you work in, it’s absolutely vital that you track where your traffic comes from or you won’t have any idea what’s working for you in your marketing strategy.
"It’s very easy to track your site traffic, tools like Google Analytics are available free of charge and are simple to implement.”
