Globrix visitor numbers hit record high
Globrix's unique visitor numbers hit 990,000 in June, the highest level the portal has ever reported.
Globrix remains a free-to-list portal, charging for premium display services, just like the newer market entrants PropertyIndex and Zoopla, which is in talks about the possible purchase of Propertyfinder.
Daniel Lee, chief executive of Globrix, says: "As the recent Propertyfinder case has shown, you can have impressive levels of traffic but it’s not a sustainable business if you have to pay to get your users."
Separately, a Globrix survey has revealed that 21% of agent respondents don’t track the source of their website.
Lee adds: “No matter what industry you work in, it’s absolutely vital that you track where your traffic comes from or you won’t have any idea what’s working for you in your marketing strategy.
"It’s very easy to track your site traffic, tools like Google Analytics are available free of charge and are simple to implement.”
