Landmark produces free flood guide

Landmark Information Group has launched a free guide to help firms mitigate their risk of flooding.

The guide, which is being launched in conjunction with the National Flood Forum, explains the different types of flooding, how to ascertain if a business is at risk of flooding and how to deal with the aftermath of a flood.

Mary Dhonau, chief executive of the National Flood Forum, says: “When one compares the average losses from a flood, estimated to be £28,000, to the average loss from a burglary, estimated to be £1,000 and considers that few businesses have a flood plan in place yet most have installed a burglar alarm, it really shows how important it is that business owners are aware of the risks they face and know how to prepare for flooding.”
