London Standard to provide Independent property search

The London Evening Standard is to power the property search facility on The Independent's website with its Homes & Property brand.

The Standard’s Homes & Property print magazine reaches over 1.3 million Londoners every week, with its companion website, HomesandProperty.co.uk, now in the top 10 of UK property websites, with more than one million unique users.
 
Matt Harrison, the Evening Standard’s sales and marketing director says: “Homeflow created a sophisticated, high quality Property Search for HomesandProperty.co.uk.

"The growth in traffic and leads to estate agents over the last few months has exceeded our expectations, and we are already working with Homeflow on other exciting developments.

"With The Independent now being a stablemate of the Evening Standard, it makes sense to allow independent.co.uk to benefit both from Homeflow’s expertise and the strength of the Homes & Property brand name.“
 
The Independent and the Evening Standard became part of the same media stable earlier this year when Independent Print Limited, owned by the Lebedev family, acquired The Independent and Independent on Sunday newspapers.

The deal followed the family's acquisition of a 75% stake in the Standard last year.
