Rightmove to offer Premium Listing to consumers

Rightmove is to market its Premium Listing service to consumers from next month.

For £95 consumers will be able to upgrade their property listing to a Premium Listing, which means their property will be displayed on Rightmove with larger photos, bolder and larger fonts, a highlighted silver background and an red label.

The deal expires after 31 days at which point Rightmove claims that it will refer site users wishing to renew the service back to the relevant instructed agent. Premium Listings are only available to sellers who market through Rightmove member agents.

Rightmove claims its Premium Listing service will on average generate 21% more enquiries and attract 34% more property detail views than a standard listing.

Miles Shipside, commercial director at Rightmove, says: “By setting a price on site, we hope we have a solution suited to this tough market where agents can benefit from more business opportunities at no cost to them, or even create some extra revenue.”

Rightmove insists that the service is not a step towards allowing private sellers to list properties on the site.

A pilot scheme is being launched in Hull on June 8.
