Romans wins Reading estate deal
Romans has been appointed to market the new homes being built as part of a £150m transformation project in Reading.
Dee Park Partnership has appointed the agency to market the new homes at Dee Park, which is set to be transformed over the next eight years through a venture being led by the Partnership and including Willmott Dixon Group and Catalyst Housing Group in partnership with Reading Borough Council.
Phase one will see Dee Park Partnership deliver 264 new apartments and houses, of which 140 homes will be available for private sale and 124 will be provided for affordable rent through Catalyst.
Once complete, the estate will have 763 new homes, plus a new primary school, community centre and shops.
The first homes will be released for sale off-plan in late September in a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments and two and three-bedroom houses at guide prices expected to start at £135,000.
Kevin Ellis, Romans’ new homes director, says: “It is clear from Reading’s demographics that there is a genuine need for residential housing schemes which enhance the area; the massive investment going into this project will provide superb local amenities.”
