Survive & Thrive hits Manchester
The Negotiator’s Survive & Thrive conference is back by popular demand, but this time in the North.
The residential agency’s leading magazine is hitting Manchester in October, offering local agents the opportunity to hear a panel of leading industry experts share their news and views on the future of the market.
Survive & Thrive London was held last June in association with Rightmove, with almost 70 representatives attending the day from a range of the UK’s leading agencies, including Chesterton Humberts, Connells Group, Countrywide, Goadsby, Harrison Murray, Karl Tatler, Marsh & Parsons, Gibbs Gillespie, Savills and King & Chasemore.
The focus of the morning was on survival, unlike our 2009 event, which will focus on helping market survivors further stabilize and grow their business.
In partnership with email4property and with the support of Eurolink Technology and Carl Communications, Survive & Thrive Manchester is to be hosted by former Conservative MP Steven Norris and opened by Dave Bexon, managing director of Trinity Mirror Digital Property, parent company of email4property.
An insight into the views of two of the market’s leading commentators - Brigid Leary, senior economist for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and market forecaster Jonathan Davis – on what will happen to agency incomes next year will follow.
A panel featuring Countywide chairman Harry Hill, Greene & Co managing director David Pollock and Hunters’ managing director Kevin Hollinrake will then debate how agents can further streamline their businesses and how new technology can help further reduce costs, plus examine the cost cutting initiatives adopted by a range of firms across the industry.
Richard Rawlings, managing director at Estate Agency Insight, will inform delegates how to increase fees, after which a line up of specialist speakers will discuss the latest developments in franchising, auctions and lettings.
A Question Time session will complete the afternoon conference, which will be held on October 28 at ManDec in Central Manchester. Contact Selan Cenan for further sponsorship and exhibition opportunities on
The conference precedes The Negotiator Awards 2009, which are being held on November 11, with The Digital Property Group as headline sponsor.
