Sex, lies and police tape make agent's new book
The murder of a North West estate owner is the focus of the first crime thriller from lettings agent Robert Jordan.
Time’s Up tells the story of a Cheshire family, whose head, Peter Wall, dies in suspicious circumstances. The police’s conclusion that the death was suicide is upheld until the morning of the inquest, when they request an adjournment as last minute evidence suggests foul play.
Unsurprisingly, the plot has a mix of familiar roles, including surveyors, solicitors and estate owners, who are each in their own right compelling characters.
Jordan (pictured) is chairman of North West-based Jordan’s Letting Agents, which was sold to and later in January 2008 bought back from the Erinaceous Group, which went into administration. He is also past-president of the Association of Residential Letting Agents.
Time's Up is his first published novel, which will be released today under his pen name, Robert Astley-Jordan.
