Surveyor book aims to demystify home buying process

Client education could receive a further boost with the publication of a new manual designed to demystify the house buying and selling process.

The Home Buying & Selling Manual: How to move house successfully in a property market downturn has been penned by property expert Ian Rock, a chartered surveyor with more than 20 years' experience of buying, selling and letting property.

The new manual is divided into sections devoted to explaining every step of the buying and selling process, and includes details on common pitfalls and proven solutions, as well as advice to consumers about how to save money and obtain the right mortgage when credit is in short supply.

The manual is published by Haynes on February 26.
