Wales to train 150 estate and letting agents
The Welsh Assembly Government has secured funding that will help agents gain professional qualifications.
John Griffiths (pictured, centre), the WAG Deputy Minister for Skills, has launched a project to train 150 estate and lettings agents in qualifications offered by the National Federation of Property Professionals.
Under the scheme, agents can apply to Asset Skills, the Sector Skills Council for housing and property, for funding to pay for half their course and exam fees.
This means that the course materials, which normally cost £195, and the exam, which normally costs £99, will now cost just £97.50 and £49.50 respectively, for eligible agents.
To be eligible for the funding, agents have to be based in Wales and currently working in agency.
Qualifications covered by the funding include the Technical Award Sale of Residential Property, Residential Letting and Property Management and Auctioneering and Commercial Property.
