Xperience mulls lettings-only franchise

Xperience managing director Michael Stoop will consider launching a lettings-only franchise as part of any expansion plans.

The franchise network has drafted in Ash Residential Property Management to trial lettings as part of a six-month pilot for two of its offices, in Kempshott and Wrexham, which trade as Parkers and Whitegates respectively.

Stoop says: "If we were to expand, it may be a way of expanding a lettings-only franchise."

He adds: "Out of our network, probably 98.5% do lettings, but a couple of offices don't, and to encourage them to do so we are piloting this particular scheme to see if there was a real appetite for a lettings business within the areas which they operate."

The franchises can determine the fees they charge clients, which they must then split with ARPM for its services. Franchises in the Xperience network already operating lettings services will be able to remain with their current service providers.

Xperience has more than 100 offices in the UK, and trades as Whitegates in the Midlands, the North and North Wales, CJ Hole in the South West, Parkers in the South and Ellis & Co in the South East and London.

ARPM has a central office based in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, from which it provides all the back-office lettings management services.
