Zoopla launches national TV campaign
Zoopla has launched a multi-million pound national TV advertising campaign as part of its strategy to build brand awareness among consumers.
The adverts, which will run for five weeks across ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky's digital channels from this morning [August 25], focus on the similarities between finding the perfect property and the perfect partner.
The advertising campaign was developed by VCCP, which is responsible for campaigns for blue chip companies including O2, Comparethemarket, Microsoft, Texaco and Standard Life.
Alex Chesterman, founder and chief executive officer of Zoopla.co.uk, says: “Our marketing to date has been largely focussed online and we are now ready to turn Zoopla into a household name targeting property buyers, renters, sellers and landlords, so that we can continue to be the most effective marketing partner for all UK estate agents.”
The launch follows the announcement that Countrywide, LSL Property Services and Connells Group have each pledged to advertise all their stock on Zoopla in a bid to help redress the balance of players within the portal market.
Zoopla launched in 2008 with £1.5m in seed capital from Atlas Venture. It raised a further £3.75m from Atlas and Octopus Ventures in January 2009 with which it acquired Thinkproperty and Propertyfinder last summer and Byteplay earlier this month.
There are currently more than 8,000 agency branches and 500,000 listings on Zoopla.
