Ex-Romans agent invests £230,000 in new business
Ex-Romans agent Peter Mascall has acquired Horsham-based Brock Taylor for £130,000.
Speaking to The Negotiator, Mascall says he plans to run the agency under its existing brand because of his unfamiliarity with the area, but is investing £100,000 in updating it and refurbishing the branch.
He adds: "Having worked in agency for many years, I am convinced that there is better way of doing things, such as training, which will be a focus of this firm."
Mascall has worked in agency for 23 years, with the last eight spent running the Farnborough branch of Romans, the sales, lettings and auctions agency firm, which covers Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey. Brock Taylor was launched in 1992 and later sold to the agents from whom Mascall bought it.
Mascall says he has used a range of sales initiatives to generate new business, including The 100-Day Challenge, which pledges to sell vendors’ properties within 100 days.
