RICS launches new home buyer report
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors has launched a new version of its Home Buyer Survey.
The HomeBuyer Report will replace RICS’ Home Buyer Survey and Valuation, which is being phased out at the end of the year.
The new format has been designed to be more user-friendly by providing clear information about the condition of a property, its value, detail of required repairs and replacements, plus information about any further advice required before exchanging contracts.
A colour-code is used to indicate a property’s condition, with a green rating indicating that no repairs are necessary and red highlighting serious defects that require urgent attention.
